Elizabeth Sims, FNP-C
DPC Plus is proud to welcome Elizabeth Sims, FNP-C, to our growing team of providers. With over 12 years of experience in family practice and emergency medicine, Elizabeth brings a deep commitment to compassionate, relationship-driven care for families across the Northshore.
Originally from Madison, Mississippi, Elizabeth has called the Mandeville/Covington/Madisonville area home for more than two decades. She began her academic journey at Mississippi College on an academic scholarship, graduating with honors with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center before going on to complete her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama—while raising three young children, a testament to her determination and heart for service.
For the past 12 years, Elizabeth has cared for patients under the mentorship of Dr. Elizabeth White, building a reputation for clinical excellence and personalized care. Her professional background includes not only primary care and emergency medicine, but also more than 8 years of advanced training in medical aesthetics, including neurotoxin injections, laser treatments, microneedling, and body sculpting. She also brings extensive experience in managing medical weight loss, helping patients achieve lasting results through holistic and sustainable plans.
Elizabeth’s philosophy of care centers on the belief that healthcare is a partnership—not a transaction. She listens deeply, collaborates with her patients on individualized treatment plans, and empowers them to take an active role in their health journey. Her patients know they are heard, valued, and treated like family.
Beyond the clinic walls, Elizabeth is a powerful advocate for mental health and family well-being. She has served on the board of the St. Tammany chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), giving a voice to vulnerable children in the court system. She is a familiar face in the community, volunteering at her children’s schools and sports events, and supporting local programs through the Homerun Club and Touchdown Club at Saint Paul’s School.
Elizabeth is married to Collin Sims, the District Attorney for St. Tammany and Washington Parishes, and together they are raising three wonderful children—Sophia, Clay, and Everett. At home, she enjoys the chaos of family life and the unconditional love of her three dogs: two English bulldogs, Tallulah Belle (“Lula”) and Hank, and a loyal black lab named Beau.
Elizabeth Sims is more than a skilled practitioner—she’s a trusted healthcare partner, a community leader, and a passionate advocate for holistic well-being. Her arrival at DPC Plus strengthens our mission to deliver exceptional, accessible care for every member of the family.
