Dr. Scott Thames serves as Medical Director for DPC Plus, bringing a rare combination of emergency medicine expertise, EMS leadership, clinical oversight experience, and systems-level healthcare insight to the organization.

Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Thames has spent his career caring for patients in high-pressure environments where access, timing, coordination, and sound medical judgment matter. His training includes emergency medicine residency and fellowship-level specialization in emergency medical services, giving him a broad view of how healthcare functions not only inside the exam room, but across communities, care teams, and complex delivery systems.

That perspective is a natural fit for DPC Plus. Throughout his career, Dr. Thames has seen the same challenges that DPC Plus was built to address: patients waiting too long for care, families relying on emergency departments for problems that could have been handled earlier, employers struggling with rising healthcare costs, and providers forced to navigate a system that often creates distance between the patient and the clinician.
